31 Day Writing Challenge

My Challenge Begins October 1st!!!
chal·lengeˈCHalənj/ nouna call to take part in a contest or competition, especially a duel. "he accepted the challenge"

On October 1st I will be challenging myself to push past the boundaries of fear and judgment to write for 31 straight days on my blog.  Looking at the definitions of Challenge I feel I am hitting all of them with this endeavor.  I am agreeing to a 'call to take part in a contest or competition'.  Even though there is no duel involved there was a call from The Nester to write for 31 consecutive days.  You are to choose a topic that is of interest to you.

I have chosen...

"Now to Him who is able to do Immeasurably More than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us."  Ephesians 3: 20.

I was inspired by sermons being presented at my home church.  They asked us, what God was doing in us and through us?  I was truly convicted by this question.  What is God doing in me and through me.  I would like to make a list of all the wonderful things that is happening in my life and the things I am doing to help others, but what I felt convicted to do is to really look deeply into my heart and truly answer that question.

In 31 Days of October I will be journaling where the Lord is taking me on this journey.  I will be honest and transparent, come along with me and see what the Lord can do in your life!  I pray the transformation is one of His Will and His guidance.

Please join me on this 31 Day Journey of Immeasurably More beginning October 1st!!!!

Trust Without Borders

The journey into Senior Year for my baby boy has begun, as my journey into my last year of stay at home mom has also. September brings a new season of life and a new season in my future.  My youngest has started Senior year and has also committed to play baseball at New York University.

It was difficult, but I held in my emotions on the tour of NYU. When the coach sat us down in a classroom and asked if there were anymore questions I almost lost it.  The tour had been wonderful with each step confirming that this is the place my baby boy will spend his four years of college. My soul was stripped bare and raw emotion was exposed as I thought of all of the work that went into raising this young man. It was a pleasure!  My work is over for the most part, he has reached a goal in his life that was many years in the making. We have come to the point of completion.  Don't get me wrong the work with this Senior in high school has really just begun.  It will be a long year keeping him engaged in the life of high school when he knows where he will be going for college.  Yes he still has to submit his application, wait to be accepted, but he is a strong candidate for NYU and with baseball I have no true concern that he will not be admitted.

God has truly brought me to a place of total submission to Him.  I don't know what He has next for me but I know He has something.  After some of the readings I have been doing and listening to some wonderful music I have a new prayer.....Spirit Lead me where my trust is without borders....

Spirit Lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
(Oceans by Hillsong United)

Where will He lead me?  I don't know but I am praying for my trust to be without borders.  What is your prayer?  Where will you allow Him to take you?

As I walk through this season I am excited about my faith growing stronger as He leads me through.
